We love our communities. That’s why we offer services to improve them.
UPPER ARLINGTON, OHIO – Northam Park is a cherished, 42-acre public park located in the City of Upper Arlington. We provided construction management services including the development of a master project schedule, cost estimating services, value engineering, construction administration and constructability review services.
The City of Upper Arlington completed a master plan for the redevelopment of a 42-acre public park. The improvements were constructed in phases. Phase I improvements included the removal of the old swimming pool and support buildings. Phase II included construction of new pool facilities including a pool house with office/staff support areas, restroom/dressing rooms and lockers. Finally, a new concession building was provided to support the pool facility and the park area outside the pool area. The concession building includes new restrooms to serve the park, playground and athletic fields. An underground storm water management system was also constructed to support the new facilities.
The third phase of the project includes a new entrance feature and drop off area to serve the entire park including the pool facility. This phase of the project will also include removal of the old playground equipment and construction of a new playground with all new equipment geared toward children from the age of toddlers to adolescents. The new playground was constructed in compliance with all the current safety requirements to assure a safe place for children to play, with new picnic facilities disbursed within the playground area. The area immediately adjacent to the library includes a new reading garden designed to provide a relaxing place, out of doors, to read or chat with friends.
